Metro 2033 Redux also added some additional portions that weren't in the game, or changed areas. There's some spoilers in here, so just-in-case I've marked everything up to keep the game unruined for those who may be playing for the first time in anticipation of Exodus.
The narrator is different, his voice more deep and depressed. 2033 redux has a more excited-sounding, less monotone narrator. The difference really helps set the tone of the game, and the original 2033 felt more dark and depressing because of it.
There were no 'Spartan' or 'Survival' modes in the original 2033, only the game difficulties. The hardest of which was 'Ranger Hardcore.'
In the original you could equip 3 weapons even on Ranger difficulty, 4 if you include the equipable knife. (as mentioned by /u/AGUDNAME)
To get a weapon with a suppressor... You had to find one laying around/from a dead enemy or buy one that was on sale. You could not customize weapons at vendors to your liking. This made even 'bad' weapons incredibly valuable if they were suppressed in 2033.
The laser in the original 2033 is much smaller and more pin-point. Unlike 2033 redux, the original laser did not have a beam projecting out of it a short distance. Made hipfire a little harder.
The Abzats is completely missing in 2033 redux. A shame, this weapon was hilarious to use. It's belt-fed, automatic shotgun and it ate all your shotgun ammo, but it was fun.
The knife was holdable weapon in the original 2033. In 2033 Redux you only see the knife when you use melee.
Nosalises in 2033 are furry, which makes them a bit more hideous than their bare versions in redux. Watchmen are also a bit uglier in the original, looking a bit more like mutants. Lurkers used to look like scaled down, naked Watchmen! Demons look like flying saber-tooth cats, and the Librarians look mostly the same.
Shrimps make no appearance in the original 2033, nor do the small shrimps you can find crawling on the surface areas. In redux you can encounter shrimps by a river near the alley leading to Library.
The night vision goggles in the original 2033 could be folded down and turned on/off while they were down, instead of being either folded down and on or folded up and off.
Trolley Combat in Redux has no tank to fight, making the level easier. (pointed out by /u/WOGN)
At the Armory there are two suits available for sale near the gun vendor, a stealth and armor suit. These are completely absent in Redux. Stealth suit makes you very stealthy, but you want the armor suit if you're playing on ranger hardcore for a later mission...
Andrew the Blacksmith wears a hood and looks a bit more like a normal citizen than a blacksmith in the original.
The Red Line prisoners held by the Reich in the War(?) level are by the Reich camp near abandoned Metro Cars (original), rather than down in a mechanical/sewer pipe area (Redux).
The library portion in 2033 redux has an additional fight against swarms of Watchmen, which didn't happen at all in the original. In the original when Miller says 'looks like this is going to be tougher than the library,' you would assume he was talking the demons which attacked you.
In the original, the camera will enter third person when you get into the truck and ride to Church. Third person perspective is only ever used in the introduction and closing of this game, so it was pretty noticeable. In Redux, this scene is entirely in first person. (corrected as pointed out by /u/WOGN)
There is no holdable flamethrower in the original 2033, only mounted ones. This makes the tunnels leading to D6 much more difficult than 2033 redux, where you can just burn any nosalises that get close to you or the person you're guarding.
You'll encounter spider bugs when separated from the group on the way to D6. In the original, there were no spider bugs, instead I believe there were some nosalises.
Ah, the reactor and D6. Myself and fellow 2033 original veterans did not miss the amoeba portion - which while still present in 2033 redux, was drastically easier even on the hardest difficulty. This section was absolutely suicide on the original Ranger mode. The amoebas took multiple hits to kill, Miller was largely useless, and you died with 1 close explosion from an amoeba (I didn't buy armor suit, it might help with this). Their spawns didn't resemble enormous eggs which were easy to kill in the redux version. The spawns would also throw out multiple amoebas. Often times ten or more would attack from the front and behind. Fuck this level in the original.
While the gunplay in Redux is a step up from the original's clunkier controls, something that felt worse was damage and hit registration. Nosalises especially seem tough in Redux, and combined with their jerky animations and speed in close quarters, they can be quite difficult to hit at times. Sometimes when you do hit them, I've had moments where it took in excess of 10 rounds from an AK to down one of them.

Brijac Metro 2033 original nisi sigurno igrao po izlasku, ako si igrao na konzoliNe znam za njega, ali ja sam igrao i odigrao X360 verziju koja je paralelno izašla s onom za PC. Dakle, to nije bio port.
I ja sam X360 verziju igrao, to je original bio 100%.
Bacit ću oko na Fensi-ev tekst pa ću vidjet koje su zapravo uopće promjene.
Jeste. Ako si igrao 360 verziju, onda definitivno Redux probaj, nemas sto izgubiti
Rekoh kako me Exodus uspio zainteresirati da prije njega odigram prva dva Metroa pa sam nabavio Redux paket za PS4. Počeo sam igrati i početni dojam mi osobno nije baš pozitivan... Vidi se trud uložen u world building ali mi je akcija jako mlitava i nimalo napeta. Podsjeća me na RE6 nažalost, kao da pucam u prazno. No još je jako rano za suditi, možda se s vremenom poboljša. Odigrat ću obje igre u svakom slučaju. Ali lagao bi kad bi rekao da uživam, bar u ovom trenutku.
Ne znam na što misliš s ovime “pucam u prazno”, ali si me baš podsjetio kako ne smetalo kod Metro-a da nije bilo nikakvog hit detection-a.
Mislim da je baš to to... protivnici jedva reagiraju na pogotke, a zvuk pucanja ne daje nikakvo zadovoljstvo. Kad god se sjetim koliki je gušt bio ispaliti jedan jedini metak iz pištolja u RE7 bude mi žao kako ovdje toga nema. Igra ima sve predispozicije da mi se svidi a ne pogađa nijedan element kako bi volio. Radnja mi je nezanimljiva, atmosfera je još OK ali ništa impresivno, gunplay užas... Ne želim da ispadne kako samo blatim igru bezveze, definitivno to ne želim prije nego ju završim, no baš se jako silim prelazit ju. Inače opraštam puno toga al ovdje mi ništa ne sjeda kako treba.

Da, točno...U 2033 neprijatelji nisu reagirali uopće na metke, a nije bilo ni onog hit check boxa. Na kraju više municije potrošiš jer ne znaš jel pogađaš ili ne... U Last Lightu je to super riješeno, a u Exodusu još bolje. Tikhar je čudo od oružja.

Strah me pomisliti kako bi bilo da sam original počeo. Inače Last Light sam bio počeo za PS3 i odustao iz razloga koje sam naveo gore. Gameplay mi nije bio uopće zadovoljavajuć. Otkad sam napisao prošli post igra se mrvicu poboljšala no i dalje stojim pri prvotnom, negativnijem dojmu. Vidit ćemo kako bude dalje.
BTW ja taj hitmarker nemam omogućen. Vidio ga u opcijama isključenog pa sam tako ostavio. To mi ne paše inače, ali ako ga preporučujete ću ga uključiti :)

Napucavanje je ok, nista vise, ali zato je gust pogodit mesnatu bestiju. Prica jako dobro prati knjigu, tako da na tom polju neces biti razocaran. A atmosfera kida, bas je pogodeno kako treba. Mislim da je tvoj glavni problem sto si krenuo igrati s nekakvom presumpcijom i negativnom konotacijom, ono sto sam ja napravio s rdr2 i gtav
Stealth dionice su sa stajališta samog gameplayja zapravo najbolji dio igre. Još u tim dijelovima imaš čak i opciju zaobići sve bez da ikoga ubiješ...takve sitnice jednostavno treba cijeniti i to je nešto u čemu je Metro jedna od rijetkih igara koje se ne libe u određenim trenucima prepustiti slobodu pristupa igraču, bez straha da će igrač nešto propustiti na taj način.
Da, samo recimo u stealth djelu pogodis lika, drugi vidi samo da ovaj pada i svih 5 likova zna tocno gdje se nalazis, nema trazenje, odma rokaju po tebi.
