Wasteland 2 is a post-apocalyptic role-playing video game developed by inXile Entertainment and published by Deep Silver for Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It is the first official sequel to the 1988 video game Wasteland (though 1990's Fountain of Dreams, the cancelled Meantime, and the original Fallout from 1997 were considered spiritual successors). The game was successfully crowd funded through Kickstarter, part of a trend of high-profile developers launching projects on the site.

t is a turn-based and party-based role-playing game with tactical combat. The player's party has room for seven characters,including the four player-designed characters and up to three non-player characters (NPCs). The player characters can be highly customizable and the player's choice of statistics, skills, and appearance will give them an individualized personality. The non-player characters in the party each have their own personality, motivations, opinions, and agendas.
Setting?
The game is set in an alternate history timeline, in which a nuclear holocaust took place in 1998 in relation to an impact event involving a cluster of meteors that sparked a global nuclear war. On the day of the cataclysm, a company of U.S. Army Engineers were in the desolate southwestern desert constructing bridges in an area with a number of small survivalist communities and a newly constructed federal death row prison with light industrial facilities. The soldiers sought shelter in the prison, expelled the inmates, and invited nearby survivalists to join them shortly thereafter. Years later, together they formed "the Desert Rangers, in the great tradition of the Texas and Arizona Rangers", to help other survivors in the desert and beyond it.
Plot?
The game begins fifteen years after the events of the original Wasteland, with the Rangers now occupying the former Guardian Citadel, which had formerly housed deranged technology-worshipping monks (the Guardians), but is now fully under Ranger control after the monks had been wiped-out by the Rangers. The experienced ranger Ace is found dead by locals with signs of violence on his body. This greatly troubles General Vargas, the leader of the Desert Rangers. General Vargas, just a few days prior, sent Ace out to investigate a strange radio signal that speaks of "man and machine becoming one" while threatening to attack and wipe out the Desert Rangers. Controlling a squad of newly recruited rangers, the player is tasked with finding out who killed Ace and why they did it, and try to complete Ace's original mission.

Imam već dugo neku ideju (konačno) odigrati The RPG trojac - Wasteland 2, Pillars of Eternity i Divinity: Original Sin.
Počeo Pillarse i Wasteland već u nekoliko navrata, no uvijek stao nakon prve trećine jer je previše obveza uletilo u raspored, a te igre imaju statistike i mikromenadžmenta koliko moj novi job.
I to je u biti najveći razlog zašto je u ovom slučaju Wasteland 2 teško probabljiv. Znači igrač kreće s partyjem od 4 lika, svatko ima neki svoj set vještina + preferirana oružja i preživi brate u wastelandu.
A nije lako.
Borbe u pravilu znaju potrajati cca 15-20 min, sve nekako liči na šah, a pogrešni potezi se skupo plaćaju. Kada se te borbe znaju u par navrata ponavljati, može biti u glavi "isusa ti, prestar sam za ova sranja". I bude još tu skill checkova pa pizdiš kada nemaš lockpicking 8 da konačno otključaš ta vrata. I usrana kamera na PlayStationu 4 (da, igram ovo na PlayStationu :( )
No tu je onda odlično pisanje, priča i siva moralnost. Nešto što Bethesda ne bi bila sposobna napisati da radi igre još 200 godina. I crni humor. I popravljanje tostera. I pripitomljavanje stada ovaca koje kmeče toliko da ih želiš propucati 2 minute kasnije. No dobiješ za ovce achievement. I jebena atmosfera od koje te jeza hvata. I Mark Morgan glazba, bog isus krist za stvaranje najbolje moguće audio pozadine apokalipse.
Tek sam počeo igru, po treći puta mislim. Valjda ću je ovaj puta završiti. Ako je i ne završim, već nakon 5-6 sati igranja mogu reći da se ovo čudo s 80 ocjenom popiša po Bethesdinom Falloutu uzduž i poprijeko.
