In Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, you will experience the rise of Faith, a daring Runner who uncovers a hidden truth within the walls of the city of Glass. Through her journey, Faith will explore every corner of the city, from the highest, most pristine skyscrapers, to the dark and gritty tunnels that lie beneath. Players will need to master the environment, using their momentum and timing their combat to fight the oppression of the ruling elite, uncovering the dark secrets behind the city’s beautiful façade. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst gives players the freedom to explore the entire city, discovering a variety of new activities, like ‘Dash’, races from point A to B, environmental puzzles and story missions to complete at their own pace.

DICE announced that Mirror’s Edge™ Catalyst will have a release date of February 23, 2016 in North America and February 25, 2016 in Europe. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst immerses players in the origin story of Faith, and her rise from a careless young woman to a heroine who opens the eyes of an entire city. Featuring fluid movement and combat in a massive city where you can run free and explore from the highest, most pristine skyscrapers, to the dark and gritty tunnels that lie beneath, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst adds a new level of immersion to action adventure games by putting you in the first person perspective. You are not just watching Faith’s fight for freedom, you will experience it through her eyes.

Two years ago we revealed that we were making a new Mirror’s Edge™. Last year, we gave you a behind the scenes look into some of the early progress we had made. And though we haven't said much else in all that time, we have been listening. Thank you for your incredible passion and your patience. I'm excited to tell you that it's paid off — by this time next week, you will have finally seen more of the game at E3.

Mirror’s Edge has always had a special place in the hearts of all of us at DICE. The first game had a lot of promise. It was unlike anything else in terms of the gameplay and style — it had a unique soul. But as much as we loved that game, we knew it could be more. So that’s what we have set out to do as we introduce Mirror’s Edge to a new generation.

The team has spent a lot of time re-evaluating every aspect of the game and making it a new experience. This is not a sequel, this is not Mirror's Edge 2. We have landed on a vision that honors the first game — pushing the boundaries of first person movement and diving deeper into the story behind our heroine Faith — but also brings a lot of great new, interesting gameplay and features to the experience for our players.

So on behalf on the entire team here at DICE, we can’t wait to show you what we have been pouring our heart and soul into. We can’t wait to introduce you to Mirror’s Edge™ Catalyst.

WHY GUN COMBAT DOESN'T EXIST IN MIRROR'S EDGE: CATALYST

Mirror's Edge: Catalyst does not allow the player to hold or use a gun, ever -- there is no gun combat, so when Faith disarms an enemy soldier, his gun goes on the ground and stays there. When asked why Mirror's Edge is ditching ballistic encounters, DICE General Manager Patrick Bach said, "I think it's a statement.
He explained, "We have a game that is about a character that doesn't use guns, period. I guess it's part of sticking to the creative vision, because it's so easy to fall back on adding a gun, because we know that works in a way that takes us to a place where we don't want to be."

Mirror's Edge: Catalyst "is about navigation, the freedom of traversing the city. Having the full focus on that forces us to fix other issues and go beyond stuff we haven't seen before. I think that's the beauty of sticking hard to a concept, instead of saying 'maybe this doesn't work, we're a bit nervous, let's add guns.' You can feel that in some game concepts, where it's so interesting and then it goes back to what sells copies. Because the data says it sells copies."

Bach admits that it would be very easy for DICE -- a studio known for shooters such as Battlefield -- to rely on weaponry as an alternative, as the original Mirror's Edge did. "But wouldn't that be boring?" he said.

Faith's abilities in Catalyst downplay the guns of her enemies as well. While moving rapidly, attacking enemies, or traversing the world, Faith enters a "flow," as DICE describes it, and it makes her invulnerable to bullets. If you're moving, guns don't exist in the player's mind. That's a statement I can get behind.

Ovo ima dva ishoda, ili će igra rasturati ili će biti dosadna.Prvi je dio svima drag jer je više bio bazirn na levelima, odnosno poligonima i načinima kojim si mogao preći svaki level, svaki put sve brže i brže.Osjećaj adrenalina, i jedan od najdetaljnijih u najuvjerljivijih pogleda iz prvog lica, na tijelo, na fiziku kretanja...Sve je pridonosilo tom osjećaju parkour-a.Samo se bojim da ne razvodne to sa open world-om.U svakom slučaju, hvala EA-u što je finansirao ovaj projekat, imao je sva opravdanja da to ne uradi.I što ga je mogao pretvoriti u neko f2p bullshit, tako da imam nade da će ovo nadmašiti original.EDIT:Uređen prvi post, one down ---> two to go.

Drago mi je da su izbacili oruzja jer ih i nisam koristil,a i ne uklapa se u cijelu tu spiku,ovak je bolje,kome se ne svidja ne mora igrat. ME ionak nije za one zeljne napucavanja i krvi.

Meni je ovo što smo vidjeli izgledalo zanimljivo. Baš se veselim igri. Baš onako, drugačije od ostalih. Za opustit se, za uživat, za chillat. Super mjuza također i super glavni lik.

Kako nevjerojatno dobro...overpriced, ali damn...

Included in the Collector's Edition is a 14 inch tall diorama featuring Faith as both an adult and young child, as well as 10 concept art pieces, an exclusive Steel book and lithograph, temporary tattoos featuring the game's logo and Faith's iconic arm tattoo, and a storage box.
