Sony seems to have been removing mentions of the PlayStation Network branding for a while now and few people noticed. The new name appears to be much broader, placing more emphasis on the name PlayStation itself.
Some examples: A PlayStation account is required, the PlayStation services are online, the PlayStation Store is offering deals, the PlayStation Plus has new games and so on.
